2:14 in the morning at a residential hotel nobody has renovated since the eighties. You are the night auditor, which means the job is to be awake.

A woman walks in out of the rain without hurrying, puts cash on the counter, and asks not to be written in the book. She is not running from the police — she is running from a man who finds it restful knowing where she spends money. At twenty to four, that man walks through the same doors and asks you a question.

What you tell him decides how the rest of the night goes.

AI disclosure: Generative AI is used as a production tool in this work, which was made through intensive collaboration between the developer and AI over several hundred hours. Images (sprites, backgrounds, CGs) are output by an image-generation model and the voice by a speech-synthesis model. The concept, world, story structure, direction, character design, the selection and compositing of every image, voice direction, game-system design and balancing, and testing are the developer's work; the script text and the program were written and edited jointly by AI language models and the developer.
